The Sun has made me blind.
I can see my cats
But not their body heat.
I can listen to the radio
But I cannot see the radio waves.
My eyes are Sun-eyes.
Honed by evolution's fine scalpel
They see only the Sun's peak.
400 to 700 nanometers
Of other wavelengths I see nothing.
Be My Eyes
Show me
Tree heat
Algae blooms
Ancient cities long forgotten.
Then Turn Outward.
Show me
The belching burps of baby stars
A galaxy's beating heart.
Wispy remnants of stellar death.
SHOW ME LIFE.
Show me my future among the stars. |
