"Propulsion"
Liftoff of STS-100, Space Shuttle Endeavor By Gabby H., age 10
Lavonia, Michigan

As the shuttle lifts off the ground,
My face is melting,
And soon we go through the stars
As they blink so hard.

We swim in the atmosphere,
Fade from sight, not knowing if we will
Ever come back.
From a porthole my passenger

Watches the beautiful stars drift by,
Wondering if she will ever go back
Home, but we are propelled
By dreams and rocket fuel.
