Neptune is the eighth and farthest planet from the Sun. It is about 30 times as far from the Sun as Earth is. It is large enough that about 58 Earths could fit inside it. The outside part of Neptune is hydrogen, helium, and methane gas. But scientists think that Neptune’s core could be rock and ice.
